Library Pass Organizing, Oreos, and Journals....

Here are library card pockets that I hot glued to the back of my door - I stuck labels from Schoolgirl Style on them and put the kiddos library paddles inside. Easy for them to grab and a quick glance tells me who is out :)

Spent an hour or so at karate practice working on my data sheets. My friend Stacy over at Funky Fresh Firsties made these cuties for me.... my new melonhead is in the corner :)

We have been reading Magic School Bus Gets Lost in Space - I have been using their daily journals to gauge interest and as an informal assessment of sorts - see what they are learning - how much they are retaining.... but this one was for fun. And I love the responses they gave me! :)

One of my 'Race' math games from my tpt store. I redid this one and made it really basic ... with just some stars to race to. There were two boards .... 2-12 and 10-20 for those that need more of a challenge. They begged to stay in from recess to play - WIN!
Last - our culminating moon phases activity - an Oreo moon phases chart! :)

Hope y'all are having a great weekend!

And We Are - Done!

Testing is over. Thank goodness! I am so proud of my kiddos.... they changed up the ACCESS testing a little this year .... that really freaked me out (especially when I learned about it only two weeks before we started testing). But they did great!

Our focus is now switching to the language of math - so the 3rd and 4th graders and I are working on fractions. Here are two things I purchased on tpt. The kids can't wait to do bingo from Miss Math Dork next week :) and I am loving all the activities and ideas in the Fractions Rock unit. Ashleigh works through fractions, identifying fractions, comparing fractions, and equivalent fractions... perfect for what my kiddos are learning about, AND practice for the upcoming state testing! Win - Win!

We also started an Interactive Notebook.... so far we have fraction vocabulary, but we will add information about 'groups of' types of fractions. I am trying to make some cute foldables for when we start working on the equivalent fraction part of the unit.... I will keep you posted on that! Wish me luck! :)

I've been busy....and pictures....

I couldn't find a planner I liked... so I made my own. :) The pages are in my tpt store - but that is all. The graphics are from Jenn Barrette {her graphics are on my blog :) }

So I have printed all these lovelies out and I am planning on binding them
{but I haven't yet}

 I redid my three roll - a - sentence centers - so if you have purchased these - please re-download! They are much cuter and easier to use!
Below is a photo of my number crunchers unit - I wanted to have something to display for the kids to practice on too... and now that these are laminated they are easily erased for repeated practice! :)

And last - this is one that I am *kinda* proud of - It's such a cute way to practice inference!
{A BIG ccgps skill....}
And (connection time) it reminds me of The Jolly Postman book that I love using to teach community helpers and during fairy tales - it's such a cute book....
and - I think this cover is really precious! :)

Bad Blogger....

Time is getting away from me so quickly! We are halfway through November - where has the time gone? I'm still adjusting to my schedule change, and kind of doubting this little cutie actually needs my help at all. I was told he only knows the words cat and dog - but today - he told me that "he didn't want to listen to a story, he wants to play power rangers on my computer"... hmmmmm.... that's some two words! :)

I did find some time to make a new math center and upload it to my tpt tonight. I still haven't added as much to my teacher's notebook store - that one seems to take me so much longer. {operator error, most likely...} Please go check out my new creation! Don't forget - my Thanksgiving literature circle units are on sale for a while longer - go check those out too! : )

Free!

Here is a freebie - as promised!

This is a center that I created to tie into my gingerbread unit during December. This is only one game, but I included two game boards and a set of number cards in case you don't have place value dice. This download is avaliable for free on tpt (I think it linked on here!, please leave a comment to let me know) - If you download it - PLEASE leave me some feedback - I would really appreciate it!
